Doctor of Nursing Practice - Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse PractitionerOnlineBSN to DNP option
The University of Wyoming has a Doctor of Nursing Practice program that is open to RNs who already have a BSN degree. The program has two clinical options: Family Nurse Practitioner and Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The FPMHNP program is offered in collaboration with the College of Nursing at the University of Colorado (CU). Travel to Colorado is minimal as CU makes its psychiatric mental health courses available online. The DNP program of the University of Wyoming is offered only as a full-time plan of study and can be completed in three years. While the program is not entirely online, courses are designed to be distance-accessible for students. The program has CCNE accreditation until the end of 2029.
